Our courses

We provide tailor-made courses designed to ensure that clients receive the maximum value from our training. The needs of a large corporate law firm will be substantially different than those of students in the last year of their law degree at University. The combination of our legal and teaching experience enables us to design the most effective programme for the client in question.

Types of Courses
A basic general course might cover areas such as the principles of common law, the English legal system, statutory interpretation, principles of contract law, principles of criminal law, European Community law, European Convention on Human Rights, International Law, Business Law and Civil Litigation.

A more practical course for the working lawyer might include difference between criminal and civil vocabulary, detailed contractual principles, principles of drafting and letter writing, terms of a contract, drafting standard boiler plate clauses, drafting commercial agreements, negotiating commercial deals, employment law, company law (incorporating a Company, Memorandum and Articles of Association, directors), mergers and acquisitions, financial terminology, tax principles, accounting terminology, property law and a civil litigation case study.

If you are interested in our courses please contact us and we would be pleased to discuss them with you in more detail.

Timetable
The timetable will of course vary depending on the client but a typical course will be between 30 - 40 hours. We recommend lessons of between 1.5hrs - 2hrs at least once a week. However we are flexible and will adapt to client needs.

Teaching Philosophy
All of our trainers are qualified lawyers and qualified teachers which means that you will be taught by the people who know and understand what lawyers want. Our training philosophy is based on having a fully interactive class between the students and trainers which makes our classes both informative and fun.
